Cohesive Healthcare’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation team consist of:

    • The nurses and respiratory therapists  who will provide patients with information on such subjects as body structure, lung function, medication, infection control, and equipment use. They will teach useful breathing techniques to help breathe easier and also will help determine when patients should call their doctor, as well as the important information they should share with their doctor.
    • The physical therapist helps develop a safe exercise program based on individual needs. Regular exercise will increase endurance, enabling patients to be more active with fewer breathing problems.
    • The occupational therapist will teach energy conservation and stress management techniques, both essential in increasing the patient’s ability to perform daily activities, such as bathing and dressing.
    • The social worker will provide counseling, support, and information concerning community resources.
    • The chaplain provides additional emotional and spiritual support that may be needed.
  • The dietitian evaluates patient nutritional status and makes recommendations regarding eating habits and how they might affect breathing.
